Now Accepting Nominations for the 2012 Community Inclusion Award
Every year, the Council solicits nominations to recognize a community program, activity or group that does a great job including people with developmental disabilities in activities or events. Last year the Kroc Center in Coeur d'Alene received the award. Nominations are due by June 15, 2012.

Impact of Medicaid Cuts Panel Discussion
On January 18, 2012 the Consortium of Idahoans with Disabilities hosted a panel discussion to talk about the impacts of Medicaid cuts. Watch the discussion on You TubeChildren’s Benefit Redesign – Parent Feedback Survey Report
Idaho Parents Unlimited, Inc. as part of the Consortium of Idahoans with Disabilities, sent out an electronic survey to gather input on the impact to children’s developmental disabilities services. This was done because of the large number of calls they and other agencies had been getting regarding the changes being made to Medicaid services for children with disabilities in Idaho. Nearly two hundred individuals responded to the survey which was available online n December and early January. The results have been compiled into this report. A follow up survey is planned.
